Samsung officially unveiled its new Galaxy credit card, set to launch on July 22, just ahead of its highly anticipated Unpacked event. This move aims to deepen customer loyalty by offering substantial cash rewards primarily tied to the company's product ecosystem, a strategic play as it happens.
Rewarding Samsung Diehards
The new Samsung Galaxy Card provides a five percent cash reward on "eligible purchases made directly with Samsung." This benefit could prove quite lucrative for frequent buyers; for example, acquiring an entry-level Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, priced at $1,500, would yield a $75 cash reward. Additionally, new cardholders can secure a $200 cash reward by spending $2,000 within the initial 90 days of account opening, effectively a ten percent return on that specific spending threshold.

Diverse Reward Tiers and Availability
Beyond direct Samsung purchases, the card extends a three percent cash reward on transactions made via Samsung Wallet and a two percent reward for streaming service payments. All other purchases receive a one percent cash reward. Cardholders also benefit from a 20 percent discount on Samsung’s VIP Advantage loyalty and warranty platform. Consumers can apply for the card online or at any Samsung retail store starting July 22, coinciding with the Unpacked presentation where new gadgets are expected to be revealed.
